Fun Bread

I am always looking for news ways to make lunch time a little different, here is an idea to jazz up your everyday sandwich or toast. Paint your toast, you can paint it and surprise the kids or let them do it themselves.

You will need: bread. milk, food coloring and a new paint brush.

Add a few drops of food coloring to the milk, stir.

Paint a design or message on the bread.

Here are some simple ideas.

Then toast the bread until it is done the way you like it.

My kids really enjoy when I do this.

We used to do that ALL the time when I was little. We always called it 'monster toast' because when we originally found the recipe in a kids' cook book, it gave directions to paint a monster on your toast.

Too cute!

I did this with the kids in my Wednesday night class at church last year. They loved it and said it was one of their favorites!

I love the idea of presenting food in a fun way. I've bought Annabel Karmel's, Feeding Your Baby and Toddler Book and she features some really great and easy ideas for presenting food in a creative way.

Your children must get excited to see what Mum's going to prepare next when it comes to their meals.

I just love your blog! This is something so easy and cute that I can't wait to share with my kids.

I'd like to invite you to have a little fun, too, by playing a round of the Meme of Fives. Check my blog for the rules.

Then post answers to the questions on your blog and "tag" someone else to play.

The mom who tagged me did a cute twist by having her daughter answer some of the questions.

Have fun and enjoy the day.
